An evening of sisterly bonding! Kim Kardashian proudly displayed the intricate arrangement that her daughter, North West, had prepared for them prior to attending this year’s Met Gala.
“I’m so touched by North’s thoughtful surprise for us to unwind before the Met,” the creator of Skims expressed on her Instagram Story on Sunday, April 30, along with a video providing a glimpse of the setup.
In the recording, Kardashian pans across the softly illuminated room adorned with flickering candles and soothing spa melodies in the background. The opulent display featured numerous bunches of white blooms strategically placed throughout the suite, with petals gracefully scattered on the floor. Furthermore, three massage tables were elegantly set up, while silver balloons bearing the words “Karl Lagerfeld Met Gala” adorned the wall.
“Oh my goodness, Karl Lagerfeld Met Gala. North!” exclaimed the star of the Kardashian family in the video, overwhelmed by her 9-year-old daughter’s kind gesture. “Massages before the grand occasion — how exquisite!”
Kardashian, accompanied by North it seems, was scheduled to attend the renowned annual fundraising gala for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 1. The reality TV personality has graced the iconic stairs since her inaugural appearance alongside her ex-husband Kanye West in 2013.

While North hasn’t made a physical appearance on the red carpet before, she was technically present in 2013. Back then, Kardashian was expecting her first child and walked the red carpet with the rapper, aged 45, clad in a floral high-neck, floor-length gown designed by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy.
West and the reality star, who tied the knot in May 2014, continued attending the gala together each year, stunning onlookers with their collaborative outfits, until their separation in 2021. The former couple, who also share daughter Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm, finalized their divorce the following year.
In the previous year, Kardashian was accompanied by then-boyfriend Pete Davidson. However, the relationship between the reality star and the 29-year-old comedian ended in August 2022 after less than a year of dating.
During the event, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star donned Marilyn Monroe’s iconic Jean Louis gown, graciously borrowed from Ripley’s Believe It or Not!. The historical slip dress had been worn by the legendary actress when she serenaded President John F. Kennedy with “Happy Birthday” in 1962. Kardashian faced public scrutiny after her decision to wear this artifact. Prior to donning the dress, she embarked on a strict diet, shedding 16 pounds in a month to ensure a perfect fit.
Following the gala, allegations surfaced accusing her of causing damage to the garment upon its return to the museum. However, both Kardashian and Ripley dismissed these claims, asserting that the dress had no additional tears or rips.
